FINDING YOUR VOICE

Kaye Dacus is an author, professional copy editor, and freelancer who has been writing fiction for more than twenty years. Pursuing her passion for writing, she earned a Master of Arts in Writing Popular Fiction from Seton Hill University in 2006. She is the former vice-president of and a long-time member of American Christian Fiction Writers. She is a founding member of Middle Tennessee Christian Writers. She lives in Nashville, Tennessee, and writes contemporary and historical romances.

On her blog, Kaye is talking about authors finding their "voice." She interviewed me today on her blog, if you'd like to read it.

"Voice" is very important for an author to discover. "Voice," according to author Les Edgerton, "is the personality in your writing." He wrote Finding Your Voice...How to Put Personality In Your Writing.

Enjoyed your interview. Voice is important because it "speaks" to the reader. Some voices will immediately resonate, others will clang like cymbals.

Thanks for introducing me to Kay and her blog. I've added it to my blog reading list.
