Do You Love Me?

Kristy is a true romantic. I guess that is the obvious. I am a kind of football guy. But she has been winning me over to her side. Now I still love football--my team got embarrassed this weekend, but Kristy's tenderness has touched me heart.

All you have to do is read the top of this blog and see her heart for me. She has expressed her love in ways I could not think imaginable. I will write about some of those ways later.

Her favorite romantic verse is: When I found the one I love, I held him, and would not let him go." Song of Solomon 3:4 See it above in her blog title. She calls me her hero husband. So romantic sounding to her...I guess to me too.

She has held me. She has held me so tight. I can feel her grasp even now--though I am not with her.

It was late in the night and I needed to hear her tell me she loved me. I knew the answer but I needed to hear it from her sweet mouth.

So I asked her, "Do you love me?" I'll never lose the memory of her voice inflection. So passionate. So resolved.

"Mannn...Do I love you!!!" She is so dramatic and energized and that is how it came out.

It comforted me and we continued the night.

Yesterday was a confusing day with meds clouding her mind and speech. She had a better night and now it is a new day. I believe a better day.

Now, ladies listen up! I have a word for some men. Get them ready. They must hear what I have to say. It is coming.

Keep praying for her...for us.

Her Husband, Milton

Dear Kristy & Milton,

I only know you through one of the writing lists I'm on, but my heart goes out to each of you and your family during this trial. You all are probably more spiritual than I since you belong to a family of ministers and pastors who love and serve the Lord, but I want to offer my prayer for you.

Father, I bring Kristy, Milton and their family into Your presence. I pray, Lord, for Your Holy Spirit to surround them with Your precious love, comfort and peace. I pray You hold Kristy, Milton and their family close to Your heart during this time. Lord, all things are possible with You, and I pray for Kristy to be completely healed. Lord, many are uplifting this family, and I pray Your mercy on Kristy that, like Hezekiah, You will grant her much more time. I thank You, Lord, that You hear our prayers. In the powerful name of Jesus and by His shed blood, I pray. Amen.

One more thing, I am so taken by the love you (Milton) have for your wife, and the love Kristy has for you. While I know my husband loves me deeply, he has never exhibited it like the two of you. I imagine I'm not the only one who feels this way. Thank you so much for showing us how to love. God bless you.

The Lord has answered the prayers of many of us by giving Kristy a much better night than the one before, and that meant you, too, Milton, had a better night!

Prayers continue for both of you.

Strangers are praying for you, Kristy, and for your family. God does not slumber or sleep. He is the strong tower, the refuge in time of storm or trouble. We won't forget to pray, in the Name of Jesus, Amen.

Thanks for posting Milton. We are reading and deeply care...even if we don't leave comments. (I'm one of Kristy's AWSA sisters.)

The other day, someone wrote to me from the acfw loop and told me she was praying for me--sort of out of the blue. Her note gave me such comfort, and I so appreciated it. I'm sitting here thinking of how many times that is multiplied for you, Kristy and Milton. Prayers upon prayers upon prayers...beautiful.

Hey Troy:

When I read about Kristy, I had to share this info. with you. There is a procedure called ‘stereotactic radial surgery’. I don’t know how it works, but it is non invasive using pinpoint radiation.

These are all highly reputable facilities.

My prayers are for Kristy and her family. Please relay this info., as I know you will.
