Singing In The Shower

After several really difficult days, Kristy was ready to shower and shampoo her "red hair". The nurse's aide and I helped her to the shower and she sat in a chair because she is still so weak. As she was shampooing her hair for the first time since surgery, I heard her begin to sing..."Peace, peace, wonderful peace coming down from the Father above. Sweep over my spirit forever, I pray, in fathomless billows of love..." Then, she continued with another chorus.

I quickly called Milton and held the phone next to the shower so that he could hear his sweetheart sing. How wonderful to hear Kristy sing again. I remember countless times when she would begin to sing or encourage friends or family to join her in a song she remembered. The day before her surgery she sat at her piano and played several songs of worship. I could hear the faith and love she has for Jesus as she sang to Him.

Milton has gone to the hospital to see if he can bring her home for Thanksgiving. If not, then we will take the Thanksgiving meal to her!

Enjoy your family today and give them an extra hug and sing a song with Kristy today.

Written by Norma, Kristy's sister-in-law.

I'm sitting here with tears of joy and a mouth and heart full of praise! God is so good, so faithful, so wonderful beyond words. Thank you so much for this Thanksgiving morning update. Many, many, thanks to you all today as we all feel so keenly our appreciation for our own families through the example of yours. - Sheila

I've never heard Kristy sing, but from these posts the past few weeks I would guess she has a beautiful voice. One God loves to hear singing His praises. The hymn I think of today is It is Well With My Soul

Whatever my lot, God has taught me to say it is well, it is well with my soul.

That could be Kristy and Milt's theme song this day.

Praying that Kristy can come home to enjoy her Thanksgiving in the home she has created as a haven for her and her hero.

Here is a Thanksgiving prayer for you all: That God will grant you your requests and He will make a way where there is no way. He is the healer and the Mighty God who is Faithful above all. He will never leave or forsake us and He is a good God.
Thank you so very much for sharing this journey with all of us.
We will continue to pray for Kristy and family and bombard heaven on her behalf.

Though there were many family members present today at Rick & Tricia's house............for Thanksgiving celebration we greatly missed Milton, Kristy, Norma, and Ron. Ours is a loving and caring family and our thoughts and prayers were for Kristy's recovery and strength for Milton's task.

There is a song that says,

Jesus will walk with me down thro' the valley; Jesus will walk with me over the plain. When in the shadow or when in the sunshine, If He goes with me, I shall not complain.

Jesus will walk with me when I am tempted, Giving me strength as my need may demand; When in affliction His presence is near me, I am upheld by His almighty hand.

Jesus will walk with me, guarding me ever, Giving me vict'ry thro' storm and thro' strife; He is my Comforter, Counselor, Leader, Over the uneven journey of life.

Jesus will walk with me in life's fair morning, And when the shadows of evening must come. Living or dying He will not forsake me, Jesus will walk with me all the way home.

Chorus: Jesus will walk with me; He will talk with me, He will walk with me; In joy or in sorrow, today and tomorrow, I know He will walk with me.

Lyrics and music; Haldor Lillenas

Oh what a Saviour, oh hallelujah!!

Kristy and Milton you are dear and near to our hearts. We love you!

Dear Kristy and Milton,
I just learned of the blog site moments ago. . .read all the postings thru Thanksgiving Day. What a lovely journey with you because you were willing to write for us. Our prayers are with you both and we also pray tonight for your families and those attending you through this recovery. May our God of angel armies give you open heavens filled with His Presence and comfort and continued peace. May Christ, our Life, be everything you need, Kristy, for mind, soul, body and spirit. . . giving His Life to every cell in your body. May His restorative power bring wholeness through the power of His name. Thanks, Milton, for your sweet account of your tender relationship with Kristy. Can't wait to see the first print of this journey in an adventure of love for all to see His love and grace through your eyes together.

Blessings through all your shared days until He comes!

In the lavish love of Christ,
Darlene Betzer

Dear Kristy & Family:

One of the attenders to your church, Debi Hall, has sent a prayer request for you to her mother Virginia in Paradise CA. Virginia is part of an internet prayer team that has almost 100 members. My name is Evonne and I am the one that takes the requests and sends them out. I just wanted you to know that this group of people have been praying for you since the 13th of this month.

Isn't God good how he brings the family together in unity....remember 1 sends a thousand to flight and 2 10,000..what great multiplication!! Since I know hundreds, if not thousands of people are praying for you...how many of the enemy is that sending to flight?

We bless you in Jesus name and ask for the healing balm of Gilead to flow from the top of your head to the very bottom of your feet.

In Christ,
Evonne
