WHEN LIFE HURTS, TRUST HIM...

Milton, here:

Faith and trust go hand in hand. While they are similar if not the same in definition, I see faith as expecting, believing, having bold confidence, and actively pursuing. Trust stands, holds on, patiently endures, and waits for the answer. They are more inter-related than these few words, but hopefully you see my intended connection.

Our faith reaches out while our trust holds on.

Last night we had to exercise both faith and trust as Kristy had a rough evening and night. This morning Hospice came back and will be managing her care. She is sleeping more and more and is confusing her words. But her spirits are high and her praise to God continues.

Saturday evening we had a long talk like couples need to do in situations like we're in. It was frank as Kristy shared from her heart and I shared from my heart to her. Our lives have been full and we have been greatly blessed. We have many dreams and goals still within so this is really tough to work through. But with God's grace and help, we will make it.

We are holding to the loving hands of our Lord for He has been with us every step of the way. Keep praying for Kristy and for us. God is yet working in our lives and in the process touching many other lives.

Do we have faith in Him? Yes, we do!

Can we trust Him? Yes, we can!

This hurts, but remember. "God is good," as Kristy says.

Look at the gull. He is at peace with not a worry in the world. God sees that gull and even more He sees and watches over us.

Dear Milton and Kristy,
I am lifting you up this evening, asking God to pour out his love and comfort into your hearts. He is the God of all comfort, and I'm trusting Him to be there with you now.

I like your definitions of faith and trust. That reminds me how closely they are linked. Having faith means believing... and I believe there is nothing that can separate you from God's perfect love. I believe this life on earth is just a short time of preparation for a wonderful eternity ahead. We who love the Lord can all look forward to a glorious future with Him.

I am glad Kristy will be receiving the wonderful care of the hospice team. They will be able to work with her and the doctors to give her the best quality of life so she can be comfortable and make the most of her days.

We send our love tonight,
Carrie

Still praying for Kristy's recovery and for your family, church family, friends, etc. It is always hardest to walk your faith out when times are tough, but of course it would be tougher to walk them out without Daddy God.

Daddy God, I pray that you will hover over Kristy, Milton, and their daughters, grandchildren, son-in-laws, and all of us who are connected through church, ACFW, and any other way that they know Kristy, even if just through this blog. Grant your peace and comfort as she rests in the shadow of your wings. Help her hear your audible voice as you sing over her. And we speak healing to this cancer and command it to leave in the name of Jesus. We speak healing to all damaged cells. We pray that the cloud and the chair will be tangible. We pray for clarity of mind and strength of body. Peaceful and quiet sleep. And we pray that not only will your love touch Kristy tonight Daddy, but that she will also feel the love that all of us have for her. We trust you Daddy, even when we don't understand. Amen.

Blessings,

I am reminded yet once again at how all of our time is in the Father's hands. Psalm 84:10 Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere...Praise to God's Holy and Almighty name. We give him glory for who He is yesterday, today and forever.
Kristy - I am praying for many days yet for you. Your writing and your witness/testimony has affected so many.
I pray you feel the embrace of God through those that minister and love on you. We are all so small in God's big plan, yet have such great capacity to make a difference. May you feel His great pleasure.

Milton,
If you've looked into the book I sent you and Kristy many months ago (before all this came about) for use in your ministry, you know that I can both sympathize and empathize. You all are in our prayers.

We pray for you often. Thank you for being so honest and open in your writing (Kristy and Milton). I know that you can't share everything with us in your writing, but what you do share makes us feel like family. We love you both. We will continue to pray for you both and your girls. You remain in my thoughts and prayers daily. Both of you have been such an inspiration to me both personally and in my marraige over the last several months. How I wish I could just hug Kristy. Please do so for me. Thank you for the time you have taken to allow us to remain a part of your lives. Blessings to your entire family & praying you feel Gods arms around each of you today.

In the last few days I have had issues come up in my life that have thrown me off balance and the words that have been such a blessing to me have been, "God you are so good to me." Stolen right from Kristy's blog and her heart. Such peace surrounds those words and before long I am smiling and laughing about something that was Huge but is now just a spot.

Hospice is the BEST. They helped me 4 years ago with my husband and I will be forever grateful.

Still praying! God is famous for His Suddenly(s).

Many Blessings

As I sit here, I am awed by your story. I stumbled upon Kristy's blog at the first of the year and have been a faithful reader every day. I have cried...rejoiced....praised God...with you.

Thank you for sharing your story and your faith and allowing God to work through your pain. I pray for Kristy and her entire family every night. This is a woman that has truly lived her life to the fullest every day and has praised God all the while.

Thank you for sharing and I will continue to pray and have faith and trust in HIS plan.

God Bless you both!

Hold fast to His loving hand. He is taking you to new heights in His love and compassion. He will never fail you, or let you stumble. His strength will be your reward. His grace will sustain you. His hope will set your feet to dancing. Your trust is placed in Him alone, he will not fail you, nor let you be put to shame. His mercies will be new to you very morning, and you shall sing aloud of His dear care. Your peace will be multiplied to you, and you never will fret or dispair. Your touch will be felt for a long time to come, and your words will live on in hearts so fair. Help is on the way my friend, do not despair. Sorrow shall flee as a dove and pure joy will be as a mountain surrounding you. Don't turn to the right or to the left, just carry on toward that prize, while Jesus keeps you in His footsteps all the way.
