HE UNERSTANDS TEARS

Milton, here for Kristy:

Kristy rested in the night. We will see as the day progresses how much she has recovered from the confusion and short term memory loss. We do not know if this is brain swelling or tumor growth. The brain swelling can be controlled some so that is our plan.

Brain cancer is horrible. All cancer and illnesses are horrible. There is no good way to look at it, but....

But we know God is with us and will help us. He is the Lord over all.

Last evening just as I was leaving, one of the charge nurses talked with me further about Kristy. I shared bits of her life which gives some background to help. Tears began to slip off her face as she listened to me. Tears of compassion for Kristy. Later I realized they were also tears of compassion for me. She understood.

Jesus wept.

Jesus understands our tears.

Milton, I used to be in a trio and one of the songs we sang so often was:
TEARS ARE A LANGUAGE GOD UNDERSTANDS. HE SEES THE TEARS OF THE BROKEN HEARTED SOUL, HE FEELS OUR TEARS AND HEARS US WHEN WE CALL. HE WALKS ALONG THE SANDS AND TAKES US BY THE HAND, TEARS ARE A LANGUAGE GOD UNDERSTANDS.

We're bombarding heaven on your behalves. You're always in our thoughts, always in our prayers.

I know you're enjoying your daughters and grandchildren being home. It feels so good when family binds together, as yours always does. Please let us know as the day progresses how your precious, sweet, angelic Kristy is making it today.

Was up in the night and sent prayers out for you and Kristy. Thank you for your updates despite your weariness. Give her hugs from ACFW, please.

Sharing your tears, Milton. You and Kristy aren't alone in this, as you already know. Thousands of people, many of them Kristy's writer friends, are standing shoulder to shoulder with all of you. I know we don't love her as much as you do, but even so, we love her and weep with you.
It's so hard to see a creative mind become compromised by illness. My own mother, a teacher and playwright, died of Alzheimer's. It was hard to watch her frustration. Just know we're praying.

My thoughts and prayers are with Kristy, Milton, and the rest of the family as are the prayers of all of us at ACFW. He collects all our tears in a bottle and in His kingdom to come there will be no more crying and pain, and he will wipe the tears from our eyes. Hallelujah!!

God truly understands tears, laughter, and other feelings. For we all experience one of these and so many others throughout our lifetime. You are very much in our thoughts and prayers each day and evening; may Our Dear Lord and Precious Savior continue to bring comfort and strength as well as complete restoration of perfect health to Kristy. We love you so very much.

I've checked the blog at least a dozen times since last evening to see if Kristy's okay to go home yet. We continue to pray for complete clarity of mind and no pain for our precious sister in Christ. We pray that you enjoy this family time together with your loving family.

GOD BLESS YOU ALL ABUNDANTLY WITH PEACE, JOY, AND HIS CLOUD OF COMFORT,

Love & continued prayers,
Nancy
