JESUS IS OUR FRIEND...

Milton, here for Kristy:

Thursday afternoon Kristy got sicker and we transferred her by ambulance to the Mayo Hospice Center to help her get over the nausea and sever headaches. She rested in the night and is better this morning. The goal is to get her stabilized and then return home--in a couple of days.

We feel your prayers and the presence of the Lord. He never fails and is so very faithful. He is our friend and helper.

It is sweet to trust in Jesus.

I stayed the night with her and our daughters and grands will arrive this afternoon.

A few moments ago I told her attending nurses that we are people of faith and believe in healing. I said that we also know that God heals in many ways and that we are not afraid to face the facts of what is happening to Kristy.

They both said, "Can we bottle you and take you around this place."

As we left our home yesterday, I looked out the back of the ambulance as we pulled away wiping hot tears. This isn't easy, but He is with us.

God is our strength and His help is real.

I am the room mother in Julie's fourth grade class in Tampa. I have read your blog daily since Julie told us about it, and I thank you for sharing so many details of your rich and fulfilling and faithful life together. I have laughed and cried as I have read -- as well as doing much thinking and praying. May Kristy's days be comfortable as she is surrounded by so much love, strength, and faith. Marcy

Having been through so much of this recently with a dear friend, we truly feel part of your pain. Thank you for keeping it real while still having great faith. Kristy is in our thoughts and prayers today and with your family as they gather.

Father, we feel Your presence in this loving, caring couple. Your Holy Spirit shines from them both. You are able, Holy Father, to heal Kristy; we trust in You and Your faithfulness, but Lord, we relinquish ourselves, our very lives, to You. We are nothing without You.

Lord, I pray Your hand of love and protection over Kristy during this time. She is Your sweet child, and her name is written in the palm of Your hand. No one can ever snatch her from You and Your love. I pray You sing over her today and give her great joy. In the powerful name of Jesus, I pray.

My heart is broken for you all right now; I hate that she is suffering but am so in awe of your never ending faith. Your story has helped me with my own problems; my son is 20 and has bi-polar and we fight many battles trying to keep him from entering the darkness that sometimes consumes him. Reading your story everyday has given me faith and has caused me to be thankful that our son at least has his physical health.

I will continue to pray that God will help you and your family through this.

God' blessings,

Praying that God's Holy Spirit will envelop the hospital room. That you and Kristi will be overwhelmed with His sweet, healing presence. Still praying for healing on this side, but peace for whatever God's answer is ultimately.

Milton, thank you for writing each of these to keep us up to date on prayers for Kristy. I wonder if you will ever know how your love story has touched so many lives. I think about how so many of us go through life and don't ever get the gift that you two have. Your love for each other shows your love for the Lord. You are both incredible witnesses for him.

I can't say I've ever saw Kristy without you at arm's length. What a blessing!! May God richly bless you both right now. Kristin

Kristy's testimony through this has touched thousands of lives, Milton. I believe she'll continue to touch lives, whether here or in Heaven. Her testimony will live on.

My heart goes out to you all, but I'm praising Jesus that He's with you.

How do people who don't have the Lord and know that Heaven awaits ever go through this?

Please know we're praying. Should the Lord not grant her healing this side of Heaven, then I pray he upholds your arms through the fire.
