MY BRAIN TUMOR

It is 11 p.m. I just got home. Please pray for me, Kristy Dykes, pastor's wife and fiction author. Here is what happened. I'm a little addled, so please overlook my gobbledygook and cutting and pasting. I need to spend some time with Milton right now so this is in a hurry. We've been on the phone with family and before that, rushed from the MRI at Mayo Clinic, then to church to get the church people to anoint me with oil and pray for me, and now home.

Lots of fam. are coming in; daughters in Tampa and Puerto Rico, siblings, etc., from all over.

(Backstory: Tues., I rec'd. a diagnosis of 1/4 loss of periphereal vision in both eyes after a routine eye exam. Dr. said have MRI. Miracle of miracles, I got it today, at Mayo Clinic.) Now: When I came out of the MRI early evening today, they had me dress and come in a meeting area. A doctor and three nurses got around Milton and me. Stayed 30 to 40 min. Gave the diagnosis. I have to have the biop. by tomorrow or Fri. at latest. If I faint, get numb, throw up, or get a headace between now and biopsy, I'm to rush to ER. The neuroradiologist said in the thousands of MRIs he's read, mine is malignant. No chance of benign. Size of orange on back left of head. A biopsy will confirm and then he said the new treatment is to NOT take out a brain tumor. No scooping them out, he said. Chemo and radiation. We will find out more after the biopsy. The nurses and doctor said they'd delivered this same news many times, and they'd NEVER SEEN ANYONE RECEIVE IT THE WAY WE DID. I'm phobic about med. procedures, had to have the larger tube MRI, so that's what's a little shaky to me, so I need prayers. But I believe this cloud of peace is gonna stay over me like the cloud that led the Israelites. Prayer concerns: that I'll find the right neuro team since Mayo won't take my insurance; also, I'm squeamish about medical procedures, awfully bad. (And of course, pray for my healing; that's a given; that's second skin to me; I believe in it.) Bright spot: I wonder how I'll look in a red WIG (my hair is red)? Make that lots of them. Bright red. Auburn. Golden red. :) Maybe I'll experient with brunette? How about blonde? Milton might like that!! :)) Love you all. Please pray.

Although we don't "know" each other, we are still sisters in the Spirit, Kristy. I believe in a big God who heals and restores. You will be in my prayers until we receive the "good news" I know will come.

God bless you,

I've only met you once, Kristy, at ACFW a couple years ago. We sat next to each other at lunch. You sat on my good side, since I am deaf in my right ear because of my own pesky brain tumor. My heart goes out to you and prayers are raised for you!! God will surely walk with you through this.

Dearest Kristy,

We just learned of this today, and are deeply saddened to know what you and your family are facing. You are such a beautiful, strong woman and such an inspiration to so many other women. You will fight this and be victorious! We will continue to lift you up in prayer for strength, for continued faith, and a FULL RECOVERY in Jesus' name!

Father,
Kristy has just heard those dreaded words that we all pray not to hear. Help her to remember Your love will never let her go and You will provide Your sustaining courage. Please grant her, Milton and her loved ones courage for whatever lies ahead, and the miracle of Your supernatural healing love. Help her to remember that You do understand everything about her, and want her to come to You laying all her burdens at Your feet. Help Kristy to to have to courage and the will in YOU to fight this demon and win through YOU. Thank you Father for all of Your blessings.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

We love you both so much. If there is ANYTHING we can do to help you through this, no matter how big or small, please call us and we'll be there for you.

With love,

Dawn & Skip Scott

Dear Kristy,

I read your post on the AWSA digest today and had instant goosebumps and teary eyes. How quickly life as we know it can change, but we serve a very big God. No matter what you go through, He will be there to give you strength. And should He choose, He is a healer of malignant tumors. I know, because he healed me of one more than 30 years ago. Prior to my surgery at M.D. Anderson, I was anointed with oil and prayed over by the ministry. I required no chemo or radiation and have been cancer-free ever since. Doctors are still amazed, but that's the kind of God we serve!

You and your family will remain in my prayers.

Kind regards,
Dayle (AWSA sister)

Lord, touch Kristy with your miraculous power and love. Let the tumor vanish. Let her health return. Let the doctors stand astounded at your power and might. For the sake of your love for Kristy, come and touch her, now, Lord, now. And pour peace and grace over her and her family.

~Kristy, I hope the best outcome of all for you. My dad had a benign brain tumor that required surgery, and a friend had a benign brain tumor that had to be excised. It's scary business, and I hope God gives you every ounce of strength you need to wait upon him and heal.

Kristy; I noticed this in one of your prior posts;

" this past Wednesday night, during a time of sharing, a woman exhorted us to remember the things God had done for us in the past so we could trust and believe Him for the future, for the things we were struggling with."
I know that God has you in the palm of his hand.
Speak to the mountain girl! Be thou removed in the name of Jesus.
I love you and I am praying.

Kristy! Love you, sending hugs, and praying the Scriptures. (And you know the Hebrew says our sicknesses are also on the cross with our sins:)

Isa 53:5 But he [was] wounded for our transgressions, [he was] bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace [was] upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.

1Pe 2:24 Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: by whose stripes ye were healed.

Habakkuk 3:2 NIV
LORD, I have heard of your fame;
I stand in awe of your deeds, O LORD.
Renew them in our day,
in our time make them known;
in wrath remember mercy.

Matthew 18:19 "Again* I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them."

Eph 3:20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us....

Yes, thank you, Lord, please heal Kristy completely, in the mighty name of Jesus!

Whoa, I go to type in the word verification, and it's foreokxv. My eyes at first read "foreknow." It reminded me the Lord knows the end from the beginning. And Jeremiah says God's plans for us are for good!

(((Big hugs))) and blessings,

St. Judes Children's Hospital is making remarkable progress in the treatment of brain tumors.

There are papers and info on their site that your family members may wish to review.

A good research hospital may be the way to go if there are insurance issues.

I know God is the best physican..and that you are safe in His Hands.

Praying for His Touch on you and that you find the best medical team for your case.

Kristy,I am praying for you. I know that all of life seems to stop in a situation like this. The same God that created the universe is right there in that room with you. He is bigger than the situation you are facing. The redemption He purchased for you at the cross also purchased your healing. I am believing with you for perfect healing.I am believing that the Zoe life of God flow into your body bringing health and healing to every cell.

I give thanks for all that he has done in your life and all that He is about to do, Kristy. You are blessed beyond measure and in the light of His glorious treasures.

I speak to your brain tumor and ask God to shrink it until it is no more. I thank him for your wigs and I thank Him for your hair returning to its former glory. In fact< i say the latter will be greater than your past. I thank Him for His provision for your life, in your mind, your will, your emotions, your possessions,your finances and your strength. He(satan) can not steal your finances, or your health in Jesus name. You are effective in the body but after this you are going to be fabulous, gloriously, stupendously effective. You are great and he is making you greater.

Be blessed to be a blessing
Michelle
