MORE THAN SPARROWS AND LILLIES OF THE FIELD

Milton, Here for Kristy:

Kristy rested well during the night but is experiencing increasing drowsiness, which concerns the doctor and nurses. They will do an evaluation today to better determine her status. Thankfully, she is not experiencing pain or nausea, and we are grateful.

We are also thankful for all the prayers and comments that are so encouraging to our family. I cannot begin to tell you how much it has meant to all of us.

Kristy's desire has always been to glorify God with her life. She has specifically felt that God would be exalted through this unexpected and unusual trial. Her faith is touching so many and is even a source of strength for her immediate family.

Yesterday, before Julie returned to Tampa to get her boys back in school, Nicholas, her youngest, got a severe bump on his head with swelling. They came in to tell Kristy goodbye. Though she was extremely drowsy and weak, she stirred enough to gather him in her arms and prayed for healing and blessing.

That is the typical way she has lived her life.

Julie especially needs prayer as she has returned to Tampa and is there alone. She will return here as soon as possible. Please remember her.

We know Jesus is the mighty Healer. We are confident His eye is on Kristy and our family. He watches the sparrows and He clothes the lillies. He watches over us with even more care and diligence.

Good morning to the wonderful Dykes family ~ You've all been in my thoughts and every prayer the past two days. I pray for God's continual sustaining strength,and for THAT HEALING TOUCH! I know it's hard for you, Julie - just remember so many are holding you up in prayer. You want to be there, we know you do. GOD, JUST GIVE JULIE EXTRA SPECIAL STRENGTH AND COMFORT RIGHT NOW, AT THIS VERY MOMENT! Jennifer, you are being very strong and brave. God is working in you and through you. Our Mom's mean so much to us, and this isn't easy! Praise God she isn't in pain this morning!!!! Milton, you're such a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. Your strength has touched so many lives. We know you're hurting. We know this is the most difficult thing you've experienced in all your years, but just as Kristy ministers even lying there in her hospital bed, you minister through the pain and tears you're experiencing. The FAITH your family possesses has been passed down for generations. I've read the things your Dad has written and I hear of Kristy's Mother Grace, what a heritage! What a blessing! Blessings, on top of blessings have been bestowed upon your family! Know we love you, and we are in prayer today and always!

Love and Prayers,
Cathy (TN)

Milton and Kristy,

I've been reading your blog since November and I've been on this journey with you, watching your unswerving grace as you handle Kristy's illness. Your belief in Jesus and that everything is for a reason makes me want to be a better person. I hope you understand what a gift you've given all of us by touching others with Kristy's story.

With continued hope and prayers,
Carolynn

Thank you, Milton, for the update. I have been checking periodically for news from overnight. I just prayed for Kristy to not suffer, nor to need strong doses of Morphine as that will cause her to go into a deeper sleep. I'm so amazed that even in the midst of her own suffering she is able to pray for her grandson like that. What a blessing she has been to all of you and to us!

Dear Milton, Kristy, and girls

You are constantly in my thoughts and prayers as I am sure is true of thousands of others. What an inspiration, blessing, and an encouragement you have been. You are truly walking the walk and not just talking the talk. May God's love and peace surround you.

Praying especially for Julie. Jesus is there beside your mom in your absence. He will hold her hand in your place. May you feel His presence near you too.

Praying for you and Kristy. May God's cloud of peace surround you all.

Time is so fleeting, and days too short, for all that we want to do or say, but Having God and Knowing God, makes each step so much easier.

You both have been a comfort and a blessing to so many.

Romans 8:28 says, And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who Love God, to those who are called according to HIS purpose. Kristy has always known her calling. What a joy and blessing.

Praying for you all, especially Julie today, knowing she wants to be as close to her mother as she can get.

Many Blessings

TEARS ARE A LANGUAGE

Often you've wondered why tears come into your eyes, and burdens seem to be much more than you can stand. But, God is standing near, He sees your falling tears. Tears are a language God understands.

When grief has left you low, it causes tears to flow. When things hav not turned out the way that you had planned. But, God won't forget you. His promises re true. Tears are a language God understands.

God sees the tears of a broken-hearted soul. He sees your tears and hears them when they fall. God weeps along with man and takes him by the hand, TEARS ARE A LANGUAGE GOD UNDERSTANDS.

And, He Does......

Like Pam, I've been praying that if it's not God's plan to heal Kristy on earth, that He will please spare her from suffering.

Will be especially praying for Julie. I hope her son is OK. She should watch him for signs of a concussion, which I'm sure she has been told already.

Praying.

I have no possible way to begin to understand the hurt you all are experience during this time. I am continuing to pray for you all daily that Gods peace that is far beyond our understanding will continue to settle over you all. The love and respect that continues to grow for you surprises me as we have never even met. But, we all are brothers & sisters in Christ. Love & prayers to you all.

Hi Uncle Milton and Aunt Kristy. I just want to add to the many others to let you know that I love you both dearly, and am praying for you. I am also thinking of and praying for you, Julie and Jennifer. I can't imagine how hard this must be on all of you, but just remember that God will bring you through all of this. Aunt Kristy has touched so many lives, many of which she probably doesn't even realize. She will continue to do so, whether it is here on this earth or in Heaven. I love you guys and wish that I could be there with you. I hope to see y'all soon, as it has been a very long time!

Great is Thy faithfulness, O God my Father;
There is no shadow of turning with Thee;
Thou changest not, Thy compassions, they fail not;
As Thou hast been, Thou forever will be.

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Summer and winter and springtime and harvest,
Sun, moon and stars in their courses above
Join with all nature in manifold witness
To Thy great faithfulness, mercy and love.

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Pardon for sin and a peace that endureth
Thine own dear presence to cheer and to guide;
Strength for today and bright hope for tomorrow,
Blessings all mine, with ten thousand beside!

Great is Thy faithfulness!
Great is Thy faithfulness!
Morning by morning new mercies I see.
All I have needed Thy hand hath provided;
Great is Thy faithfulness, Lord, unto me!

Praying and believing with you that our God is faithful. His mercies endure to all generations.
May you find great peace even through your tears. Much love to each of you.

Before I go to bed tonight, you're on my mind and in my prayers. Oh, how I was touched when the persons shared GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS! His faithfulness goes beyond our imagination to the highest of heights. His ways are not our ways, and it's sometimes hard to understand - but, just as you shared this morning, Milton - HIS EYE IS ON THE SPARROW, so you know He watches over you and your beloved Kristy, in your ups and in your downs - Yes, He's there. Julie and Jennifer, I love you with the love of the Lord - even though we've never met, we're all in the great big family of God. Cast all your care upon Him, for He CARES AND KNOWS YOUR SORROW. When you don't have the right words, God will fill your mouth with praises to Him.----Milton, your sharing and keeping us updated has meant MORE THAN YOU'LL EVER POSSIBLY KNOW, for our hearts have been genuinely touched and challenged by your beautiful LOVE STORY. "A Love Story", that's truly what this journey has been about. AND, PRAISE GOD - IT'S NOT OVER! TOUCH, RESTORE, REVIVE - IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF JESUS, for YOUR GLORY......and your Glory alone.

In His Love, with prayers....
Cathy

It's spring here in Western Australia and as I sit and look out the window at our Dexter cows eating contentedly and praying for you all, the Lord reminded me of the following verse;

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Many daughters have done virtuously, but thou excellest them all. Prov 31:28-29

Thou excellest them all, Kristy.

Praising the Lord that you have done what He wanted you to and that He loves you so much.

Praying for healing for all of you and strength to endure.
