A PRAYER QUILT FROM CALIFORNIA

My author friend Sally Laity and Valley Baptist Church in Bakersfield, California, sent me a beautiful prayer quilt they hand-made for me. The inscription on the inside says, "This quilt was made for Kristy Dykes with love, hope, and prayers. Each knot represents a prayer that was said for you."

I was deeply touched--and strengthened--when I opened the box and read that.

It's the 1,167 prayer quilt the Prayer Quilt Ministry has made. What a beautiful ministry these ladies have.

Thank you, dear ladies, for praying for me.

The quilt is made in MY COLORS. Turquoise and aqua. Even the tissue paper in the box is aqua.

That was so sweet of Sally and the other ladies. And think of all the prayers that quilt represents. It's very pretty!

Yes, the prayers this quilt represents...

If anybody needs prayer, I'm going to let these ladies' prayers extend to you...and you...and you. That's what I told our congregation last Sunday when I held up the quilt and told them all about it.

God is so good to me!

Hi Kristy,
What a beautiful gift! That was so sweet of Sally and her friends to make that beautiful quilt for you.

My mom was a quilter too, and even though she has been gone for 23 years we are still enjoying several of her handmade quilts. The love shines through. : )

I am thinking of you today and praying for you to have an overflowing abundance of courage, confidence, strength, and comfort.

You look so beautiful in that photo!
Love and prayers,
Carrie

Nicole, the trick is makeup and the right camera angles. LOL.

Carrie, your comments always make me tear up, because I can feel the love flowing out to me. Thanks, dear friend.

Kristy, you look fabulous! What a generous thing for Sally and her friends to do for you, and how sweet that you would extend prayers for everyone else. I'm still praying and you look like a miracle!
