SO SOFTLY HE SINGS
Milton, here:
Torn and torn again
Torn into a thousand little pieces.
Pain, heartache, wounded, spent
With questions and queries
Well knowing He is there.
How to handle
Handle sweet wonderful memories
Fears, frustration, future.
Fogginess and memory lapses in the one so loved
Pain and more pain
Yet, His peace sustains.
Never would you think
Never would you imagine
Never would you expect
Never
Never could it happen here.
But it did.
He allowed it
He works through it
Touching, changing, cleansing, releasing
Perfecting
Doing new things
Sovereignly accomplishing eternal purpose
Going deep and deeper within the soul.
He knows
He wills
He refines
He fulfills
All our heart's needs
All our heart's dreams
All our heart's hopes
In His higher most precious way.
For He is in the shadows
Following closely
His footprints not seen.
His voice speaks softly
So softly He sings—
His grace and His greatness
Most sufficient for me.
How Is Kristy?
She has had an up and down couple of days. The report of the MRI as read by the radiation oncologist was not good news. The tumor has grown and is causing swelling to the brain. She struggles for rest, but her faith is sweet and strong.
Thank you for praying for Kristy and for us.

Kristy, that post is so beautiful. I've been thinking about you a lot today and checking your blog. My heart cries out to our Father in Heaven for you to surround you with his love and peace. I hope you can sleep tonight.
Kristy, Remember this old song?
A Wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord
A Wonderful Savior to me;
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock,
Where rivers of pleasure I see.
Chorus:
He hideth my soul in the cleft of the rock
That shadows a dry, thirsty land;
He hideth my life with the depths of His love;
And covers me there with His hand.
A wonderful Savior is Jesus my Lord,
He taketh my burden away;
He holdeth me up, and I shall not be moved,
He giveth me strength as my day.
Chorus:
Isn't it wonderful that the Father will protect us by covering us with His Hand while we rest in Jesus the Rock.
Love you and still praying. Cousin Anita

Praying for both of you.
Milton,
Thank you for the update. I've been watching for one, knowing that we'd get one when you could give it to us. I am so sorry the news on the MRI wasn't good, but will continue to pray for Krisy, for you and for your family. May the Lord hold you all up and give you strength. I pray He eases Kristy's pain and she can get some rest tonight.

This is for Milton, and I know Kristy will understand. Besides praying for her, Milton, I will be praying for you. Thank you for being there for Kristy and for being such a wonderful example of a husband. (I have one like you, PTL.) God has given you a great strength and He has blessed you with compassion and courage. May He continue to do so. Bonnie
Dearest Kristi,
I am praying for you each and every day.
Jesus loves you.
Milton and Kristy
I pray for both of you and other families members every day. I just wanted to give you the scripture you gave me when I was going through my difficult time. May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. I love you both and you will always hold a special place in my heart.
Dear Milton,
Thank you for the update. We pray hard that the Lord will turn this all around. We pray for Kristy to get a restful, peaceful sleep.
Give Kristy a miracle healing, Lord. She shall live and not die and declare the good works of the Lord, in Jesus' name. Is Kristy able to go to the healing room again?
Our hearts and prayers are with you always.
Love,
Nancy
Dear Milton and Kristy,
Thank you for sharing your thoughts with us. We continue to pray for you all each day, asking God to pour out His love, comfort and grace.
Tonight is our church valentines dinner. We have 80 people attending. I am overseeing it. I chose the verse Kristy posted at the top of this blog as our theme verse this year in honor of you two. Your love and commitment to each other is a wonderful inspiration to me and so many others. We love and appreciate you, and I will be remembering you tonight.
Prayers and hugs,
Carrie
Philemon 1:4-7 "I always thank my God as I remember you in my prayers because I hear about your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love for all the saints. I pray that you may be active in sharing your faith, so that you will have a full understanding of every good thing we have in Christ. Your love has given me great joy and encouragement, because you, brother, have refreshed the hearts of the saints."
Prayers and hugs...

Milton,
I don't know that I've ever ready more moving words. I'm assuming you wrote them. The last two lines did me in. So true. So true.
Without a doubt, illness effects the entire family, and especially the spouse. I'm praying--and know--that the Lord will uphold you during this very difficult time.
I'm reminded of the beautiful words found in Psalm 32:7 - "Thou art my hiding place." Just five words, but so meaningful.
Thanks for the updates. You all are in my prayers.
God's peace, God's Strength, God's Assurance, God's loving arms, praying for all aspects of God's presence be with you both and keep you in HIS care.

Praying as always.
Kristy's faith is such a testimony. She makes me think of the martyrs of old when they stood in teh arena before the lions ... and they sang praises to God.
As always, I'm lifting her up to the Father's throne.
Kristy & Milton, We continue to pray for you both as well as your girls and the rest of your family. We were so proud of Jennifer when we read her blog the other day regarding being able to give money to her church. I read it to Mama over the phone and I could hear her crying for joy! We love ya'll so much and always will. May Jesus give you a sweet and peaceful sleep tonight.
Praying for you both Milton and Kristy. Sorry the MRI didn't have better news, but God is faithful. He sees the whole picture. I continue to pray.
Praying. There are not words to describe the compassion I feel for you and Kristy and your family. So, so much. As always, I wonder how people who don't know our sweet Jesus handle the tough roads in life. It's hard enough with him carrying us through. I'm still praying and believing for complete healing and the strength for all of you to walk through this storm.
Blessings,
