COME SWEET HOLY SPIRIT

Milton, here for Kristy:

"I want to go to Krystal's," Kristy said.

It was lunch time and Terry was getting more of his favorite hamburgers and Kristy overheard him.

I said, "Terry will be right back. He'll bring you one."

She smiled big.

Simple things count now. Nothing that will move the world, but the little things that are special to her.

Throughout the day Kristy was very weak and spoke very softly. The nurse came and her report wasn't good. We'll keep trusting and praying.

This is one great lady who loves her Lord, husband, family, and those her life has touched.

We have always welcomed the Holy Spirit in our lives from this first night we were married. He has guided us and strengthened us. He is abiding with us. Our Comforter, the Holy One is in our home helping, holding, reaching out, whispering softly. Every move, every word, each look, every touch is sweet, sacred, soothing.

Sweet Holy Spirit, Sweet Heavenly Dove,

Stay Right Here with Us, Filling with Your Love,

And for these Blessings, We lift our hands in Praise,

Without a doubt We'll know that We have Been Revived

When We Shall Leave this Place.

***

How is Kristy?

She slept most of yesterday. Some of her body functions are slowing down. The Hospice nurse didn't offer her good news, but we are trusting in One who will never fail.

Sandra had to leave. She watched over Kristy and our family with such loving care. Now Tricia, my middle sister, is here with Miss. Sunshine, her daughter Stephanie.

Thank you everyone for walking this journey with us. We feel your presence. We are not alone.

Dear Friends,
What a beautiful song. What love so sweetly expressed. I am sure being surrounded by such caring friends and family is a great comfort to Kristy and to you. I am so glad they can be there with you. Our prayers are with you too. But most of all I am glad The Great Comforter is there with you to sustain you and carry you through today. May you feel His touch and sense His love today.

Sending love and prayers from,

I haven't heard that song in years! No, you are not alone. My thoughts and prayers are with you daily. I thank God for the sweet spirit in you, as expressed in the blog posts. I imagine it difficult to do this every day and to be so transparent with us. But just know that you and Kristy continue to inspire myself and so many others.

I type this through tears, such a beautiful presence is felt watching this video. Such love, such devotion, Kristy looks so beautiful. The song is perfect, I could feel the presence of the Lord just watching this video.

I couldn't sleep most of last night thinking of Kristy and my cousin David who is at the Mayo Clinic there in Jacksonville, who is just went through a bone marrow transplant. They were so heavy on my mind and heart, I just prayed for them both. Praying for a miracle for you and your family.

Thank you for continuing to share this journey, I know it must be hard.

Reading your blog over the last several months you can tell that you and Kristy have touched many peoples lives. Just the flow of people that are continually coming in to help out, when one leaves another is ready to step in. That must be such a wonderful feeling. I know just reading your words have touched me more than you could ever know.

I was looking over the past videos, esp Kristy and her whimsies, it was so cute! The videos are so precious, and you all are precious in God's sight. He loves you more than any of us can really know. And He is smiling big with open arms, ready to receive a precious saint in a place He has been preparing for so many years. Oh how absolutely beautiful it must be.
Love you all.

My prayers join with all the others. "God is so Good."

This time is so precious. Going home to God is as precious as coming from Him when we are born. Ever with us, always close at hand, His Angels, the Holy Spirit, and the beloved family he has given us on Earth.

May God shower you with His Love and presence during this precious time.

Many Blessings

This is way it should be when someone is ill.

The comfort of God and the presence of a loving, giving, family.

I am so glad Kristy has people who love her so tenderly and dearly around her to support her and care for her and to love her.

May God continue to strengthen you who love her so as you watch, and wait, and pray and love her.

Do you remember this song:
Some thro' the waters...some thro' the flood..some thro' the fire..but all thro' the blood. Some thro' great sorrow, but God gives a song;in the night season and all the day long.
God leads His dear children along.
He is doing this for you, Milton, and for Kristy and your daughters and grandchildren and all of your wonderful family & friends.
You are daily in our prayers & thoughts...Your lives are a testimony to the glory of God. David & Kay NC

Thank you for being such a faithful, supporting, loving presence at Kristy's side during this time. I've walked that walk as well, and know the toll it takes. May God give you strength and Kristy peace. You all remain in our prayers.

Milton, I wept when I witnessed this beautiful display of family affection. Kristy's earthly family has ministered to her in so many ways--and to you. It's a picture of how God intended families to function.

I have no words to tell you what's on my heart. I pray for all of you in the days ahead. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord--but oh, how we long to keep our precious ones. God loves her best of all, and we can trust His faithfulness and his timing.

Praying for strength, comfort, and peace to surround you.

I've been reading some of Kristy's blog posts from back in 2005, and this jumped out at me. So very true, and so very from the heart of God:

It's nice when you don't have to impress each other anymore. Love for a lifetime is a comforting love and a comfortable love.

Milton, you are blessed with a wife who loves you completely. What a wonderful life you have shared!

Praying you'll rest in our Father's comforting arms.

This is amazing! I could literally fill the presence of the Lord as I was watching the youtube video. It's amazing to see a family walk through such an incredibly hard time and maintain that kind of faith. My faith is encouraged through seeing yours, and knowing that it is real. What a difference she is making even in her weak state. "Thank you." For sharing the journey with us.
